Tattoo Girls Volume 08, as its title says, it is exclusively for girls. Reflecting on the ‘cutie’ Japanese style, it’s approach is very different to most of the tattoo magazines out there. A little more of a style-fashion magazine based around the theme of tattoos.
I find it quite refreshing as it makes us think slightly more of tattoo as a cute or beauty accessory that fits around a lifestyle, something to consume and enjoy. No hard core rock and roll here! Cute Pretty, and nice. I have found at quite a few occasions that having their publications on the table, including their mini book was sometimes very inspiring for girls who want tattoos.
I definitely recommend them as an add on to all the stuff you might already have, and definitely much better than having flashes of butterflies and dolphins on the wall. If you want your tattoo studio to be more of parlour or saloon feel. Girls are very likely to love it. Each Issue covers various Location. This one is Tokyo. Including Studio Listings. And a few photo shoot models where girls sports fake tattoos that changes according to the mood of the day.
I remember an issue where a girl would let say show her shoulder on on pic, her leg on another, her neck and so on. Each tattoo having a different feel. They could pretty much really appear as something else according to what the girl would choose to wear. Quit inspiring in that respect. I’ll keep a few for myself and the studio. It can also be inspiring if you’re thinking of setting up a tattoo studio aimed at girls, as the pics from the tattoo studios all have quite a feel that doe not ’scream’ TATTOO! Somehow very contemporary Japanese Tattoo Style.
